Travel Basketball Program
The Orono Recreation Department joins forces with Veazie in an effort to provide basketball players in grades 3-8 both boys and girls with a step up of competition than in the traditional recreational level leagues. This option is for those interested in working on their individual and team game at a competitive level.
General Information
- The teams compete in the Eastern Maine Basketball League with a practice during the week and a game on Saturdays or Sundays (dependent on gym availability).
- The EMBLeague starts November 14th and ends January 23/30 with playoffs. After the season teams will have an opportunity to paly in one or two tournaments in February / March.
- Registration deadline is November 2, 2009 - No Registrations after the program has started !
- Fee for this program is $35 per player. If enough players teams will consist of:
- 5-6th grade girls
- 5-6th grade boys
- 7-8th grade girls
- 7-8th grade boys
- Coaches are needed for the 3-4th grade levels in both boys / girls - would you like to volunteer ?
